Google Reader Shared Items

Google Reader is gone

I forgot I had this module here, but thankfully, it looks like everyone else has. As most of us know, Google Reader was discontinued back in July 2013, so this module is worse than useless at this point. It's only here for the sake of new module devs who might want to look at the code for some reason.

What This Module Did

Pulls your shared items from Google Reader for display in a block.

Google Reader does offer a means to embed Javascript in your page to show your shared items, but there's no reason that this should be requested on every page load. Speed up page load by using this module to cache your shared items.

This module adds a new block called "Google Reader Shared Items." Edit this block to paste in the share code from Google Reader and select how many items should be shown in the block.
