Whenever you define and create a new frontpage either with Views or other related modules, the default old durpal's frontpage is still accessible through ( /node ) to search engines and anonymous users. This module would prevent such behavior, simply by redirecting /node to your new frontpage.
No configuration is needed just install and it's over.
