An SEO Anchor {{www.example.com|link this}} corresponds to the HTML <a href="http://www.example.com">link this</a> You may choose your method for defining a link for the module to interpret as an anchor, and then define a behaviour for each anchor type.
SEO may sometimes require nofollow tags for internal links (and therefore stop spiders/crawlers etc) as well for halting PageRank-Leak from external links. You need that are likely to be a one off so a global, site-wide behaviour or default filter would not suit. You would preferr to have on demand detailed overides to the site's linking strategy and SEO Anchors offers that to the filter system. Also, SEO Anchors can add new windows and exit pages to external links with similar flexibility.
