Apachesolr Autocomplete Preview is based on and similar to Apachesolr Autocomplete. Instead of showing keywords in the dropdown it shows a preview of nodes that match the search term, sorted by relevance. By default only the node title is shown but this can easily be overridden by theming. Clicking a node preview will take you directly to the node.
By default 5 node titles are shown. An alter hook is provided to change the settings. By altering the settings you can for example show 3 nodes of type 'article', followed by 2 nodes of type 'page'.
