Variables Everywhere aims to deliver variations of existing plugins/handlers of various popular systems which can be configured partially through variables, to allow for limited editorial changes without access to the respective admin UIs of these systems, and without conflicting with the principles of code driven development.
Some of the systems that Variables Everywhere targets/plans to target:
- Views,
- Ctools Page Manager / Panels,
- Drupal core blocks,
- ...
Some replacement handlers that are ready for you to try:
- a Variable area which you can put in Views footer / header / empty text
- a Ctools content type to add a variable as a pane on Panels
