Linkit Markdown

Provides Linkit support for Markdown editor. The Makdown editor is a plug-in for BUEditor.

Dependencies

• Linkit - This module interacts with the Linkit Javascript Object (Drupal.linkit)
• Markdown editor - This module interacts with the Markdown Editor JavaScript object (window.markdownEditor), and the BUEditor JavaScript object (BUE). Markdown requires the BUEditor module.
• WYSIWYG - WYSIWYG needs to be installed but not configured, WYSIWYG needs to be enabled, but it does not need to be configured. It is there because it ensures the Linkit JavaScript files are loaded and that the Linkit fields JavaScript object is included (Drupal.settings.linkit.fields).

Recommended

• BUEditor Plus
  Assigns editors to input formats, which allows BUEditor to be used interchangeably with WYSIWYG module.

Installation

1. Install the prerequisite modules:
   • Markdown Editor
     • BUEditor
     • Markdown Filter
       • Libraries API
     • BUEditor Plus - recommended, but not required.
   • Linkit
   • WYSIWYG
2. Download and enable Linkit Markdown
3. Create a Linkit profile for editors: /admin/config/content/linkit
4. Configure BUEditor to make the Markdown Editor profile the default profile for the Markdown input filter: /admin/config/content/bueditor
5. Edit the Markdown Editor to include the Linkit button: (screenshot)
   • Give the new button a label
   • Enter js: markdownEditor.linkit(); in the content textbox
   • Select the button icon.
   • Select the button key.
