Theatre

The objective of this project has evolved into development of a feature module to support community based theatre groups.

The project was conceived as a redesign of a static html based site. The redesign was not coordinated with the group, rather was pieced together with an "I can to it better on my own mentality" into a second html5 based scripted site (from go daddy). A third effort was then coordinated, to implement the best features of them both with Drupal, and extend into a specialized Theatre CMS using Drupal. That project forked when proprietary constraints made the Drupal initiative unsustainable.

However several good aspects of the site were beginning to emerge, so rather than dropping the initiative all together, the decision was made to repurpose the work for contribution to Drupal as a sandbox project for community development into a feature based Theatre module for Drupal.

Conceptually, the Theatre module may be kind of similar to the Recipe module. Where tasteful ingredients can be combined together in a proportioned manner to create a nice meal. The Theatre module creates the recipe for a Production feature to facilitate development of a Community Based Theatre site to help manage behind scene aspects of Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production (archiving) activities.

So, credit for developing the Theatre user story for this module goes to the Brevard Little Theatre.
