This module is the core module used in EK management tools suite.

This management tools are designed to handle various back office tasks and company data digitalization.
Started more than 10 years ago as a PHP project, it has evolved with multiple functions based on users and business experience,
For the past 2 years, the solution was ported to Drupal 8 where it can become a strong foundation for a complete company management solution and business back office.
The philosophy of the development was always to give priority to simplicity for the end user. Whenever implemented in "real life" companies, it has to mobilize as less as possible time and training for the users who are able to maximize the tools for their daily tasks. It must improve their efficiency and shorten their load of repetitive tasks while at company level data management is becoming a key of efficient business.

EK modular structure fits well with Drupal. All modules have interactions with each other and information is shared between modules

There are various modules already written for Drupal 8 which are:
- admin (present module)
- addresses book
- products and services
- assets
- documents management
- sales (purchases, quotations, invoices)
- human resources
- logistics (delivery orders, stock list)
- project management
- report drafting
- finance (accounts, reporting, journal)

The ek_admin module is the starter module for the entire suite.
It will do initial setup of external database where all data are stored, separated from Drupal main system database.
It will also create the business entities or companies to be managed by the back office solution.

The objective is those propose all modules as a Drupal 8 distribution.

There is an ongoing online demo available that can be also accessed via the link 'try out a demonstration'.
There are also a list of available tutorials per modules that can be viewed here.

The current module version is tested with Drupal 8.1.2.
