When using the Display Suite Extras module you can enable the 'View mode per node' option to change view modes for individual nodes in the tab 'Display settings'.
When this module is enabled, in combination with the Display Suite Extras module, you can change the view mode in the nodequeue table. You can enable this option per nodequeue.
There is also an option to load a preview in the nodequeue table, using the preview image of the view mode or the rendered node in the selected view mode.
Don't forget to use the 'display suite' style format in the corresponding nodequeue view with the option 'Use view mode of display settings' enabled to render the node in the selected view mode.
Tested with the 2.x branch of the Nodequeue module.
