This module is used to define quarters for Manhattan Neighborhood Network's Airing Grid Scheduler, but is can also be used to define semesters, trimesters, seasons, or any other period of time.
The module contains timespan_current() and timespan_next() functions that are used by the Airing Grid Scheduler to limit the repeating Airings when scheduling a series for an entire quarter, but could be used to limit Reservations to the current semester in the future.
