This module shows popup messages on node events.
Also it provides special sidebar where you can see messages history. You can switch on/off both sidebar and popups.
This module uses long polling request for geetting node changes. So you get notification immediately.

Try it

  1. install module
  2. setup module settings at admin/config/node_notifications.
  3. open 2 windows of browser
  4. create content in 1 window and watch for message in another. It'll appear in right top corner.

For now module shows notification only on node creation.

  1. integrations with drupal events(or rules)
  2. add more node events
