Mail Tracking

The Mail Tracking module tracks the number of recipients that read your e-mail message, click on a link in it or unsubscribe (if used in combination with Simplenews).

And there's even more: if the Simplenews and Google Analytics module have been installed you can define a source for your newsletters. This source (and some other values) will be added as utm_ parameters to all website links in your newsletter.

To start using this module, simply download and install it. There are no additional requirements, but I advice you to use it in combination with the Mime Mail module, because the rewritten links don't look that "nice" in a plain text message.

Please note that when sending plain text messages any links to the homepage won't be rewritten (and tracked), because it will give a weird/undesired effect if you just want to add your website address to the e-mail message.
