This module allows to skip main H1 header tag from the page if an alternative header is set in panes.

How to use
On panel content configuration page, check "Remove main page header" option. It's better not to hide title in "Title type" selector, so that the page can have the TITLE tag.
The alternative header can be set by a pane containing H1 tag, such as "Page header", "Node title", "Custom pane", etc.
In the page.tpl.php template, the boolean variable $alternative_header can be used to determine whether "Remove main page header" option is checked.
