Developers sometimes do not have the content they need, to start populating the Drupal development site. As a developer, you have created the content types you need and want to start building the frontend pages. But you don't have time to add all the content yourself.
Random Content comes to your rescue! It supports all the built-in fields (text field, text area, dates, files, pictures etc.) You have complete control over your content. The content are not even random! For example, a name field can be populated with real names (sometimes with hilarious results!)
You can specify the length of the content you want in text area. This even supports different modes.
Similar module
Dummy Content is very similar to this module; it does basically the same thing. With Random Content, you have a finer control over the created content.
