Smart Dates Format allows date ranges to be rendered in a more intelligent manner for display purposes. It bundles the logic of checking if the date ranges are in the same day, month, or year into a helper function smart_dates_format().
This project is still in the early stages, but I plan to add an admin interface to configure the date formats. I am open to suggestions for how this should be configured. Stay tuned for more updates.
