What is the Web Experience Toolkit (WET)?

A front-end framework used to build accessible, mobile friendly, and multilingual websites. It is open source and led by the Government of Canada (http://wet-boew.github.io/wet-boew/index-en.html).

Project Overview

This module will set up the WET4 Carousel Tabbed Interface (http://wet-boew.github.io/wet-boew/demos/tabs/tabs-carousel-en.html).

This module will create a new Content Type called "Carousel". This Content will feature an upload field for the various slides, the ability to add alt and title text to each slide, the ability to add an HTML caption to each slide, the ability to reorder slides, as well as select which Carousel style and even some basic slide resizing (no resize, 4:3 ratio, 16:9 ratio, etc)

Each Carousel created is it's own Node and the user can either use Panels or the Node Embed module to place these nodes where they want in the site.

This module is meant to be used along side the WET4 Theme found here: https://www.drupal.org/sandbox/ashopin/2433161.

What is the difference between the WET Theme and the WET Distribution?

The Web Experience Toolkit distribution (https://www.drupal.org/project/wetkit) is a content management system. If you prefer an out-of-the-box system, please refer to the distribution.

This suite is meant for site builders who prefer to have a bit more control and provides a simple roadmap for upgrading WET components. By decoupling the features and leveraging Drupal’s module and theming system, we are able to provide quicker theme updates.

Can I install this theme on an existing WET distribution site?

Yes, this theme is compatible with the WET Distribution, allowing existing Drupal installations to be upgrade to the latest version of the Web Experience Toolkit.
