Login Here Block

The Login Here module provides a configurable block that generates a login link with the current destination as the post-login redirect. That is, after logging in via the link provided, you will be directed back to the page that you were on instead of being sent to the user page.

Why is this module necessary when the user login block does the same thing?

For sites that don't have general audience user accounts, the site builder may not want the user login block visible to all users. The Login Here module provides a block with configurable text that can be placed anywhere and styled in a way that makes it less obvious to anonymous users. For example, you might want to use the Login Here block to display your copyright information so that doesn't stand out to users as a link.
