Some modules of Commerce Discount add functionality to discount through terms, categories, prices... but any apply to all sub-products of a product display.
When you have combinations of Size and Color per example you will be hundred of combinations ... some workarounds are available but any is easy for the final user.
With this module you choose the node, or nodes to apply and choose the discount type. It's easy.
