B2Share

This module allows the integration of the EUDAT B2Share data repository (https://b2share.eudat.eu/). It communicates with B2Share using their rest API (https://b2share.eudat.eu/help/api). It will temporarily store a file on a drupal installation, which will be transmitted to B2Share. The generated PID (and DOI) will be stored in the b2share field.

Dependencies

• curl php installed on server - available under https://curl.haxx.se/

Installation

• Copy the b2share folder directly to your modules folder
• Enable it under /modules/
• A new field type and corresponding widget will be added

Configuration

• Configuration menu is located under admin/config/system/b2share
• Enter your B2Share Access Token. Instructions on how to generate one can be found here: https://www.eudat.eu/services/userdoc/b2share#UserDocumentation-B2SHARE-...
• Enter the B2Share base_url which the module should address, e.g. https://trng-b2share.eudat.eu
• Enter the domain you want the data to be uploaded under in the menu located under admin/config/system/b2share/metadata

Usage

• Creates new fieldtype called „B2Share Field“ with the widget „B2Share Widget“
• Add a new field with the fieldtype „B2Share Field“ and the widget „B2Share Widget“ to a content type
• This will enable a file upload interface
• Fill in the metadata fields within the B2Share field/form
• Hit "Deposit file on B2Share"
• A PID - persistent identifier - (and optionally a DOI) will be returned and copied to the respective field(s)
