This project uses jQuery Favorite Widget plugin that allows users to put content to their favorites that are stored in a cookie.

For Drupal, there are modules available that allows you to reach this functionality such as Flag. This module however is useful when you want to provide this functionality:

  • When you want to provide bookmark functionality for anonymous users
  • You use reverse proxy like Varnish, and you don't want to bypass it because of used cookie

Getting started

  1. Download the jQuery library (see from /admin/reports/libraries)
  2. Put jQuery Library to your libraries location
  3. Enable this module
  4. Go to module configuration and specify which content types you want to use this (from /admin/config/user-interface/favoritewidget)
  5. Go to configured content type field display settings and drag your widget to your desired position
