Prepopulate Hide

This is a companion to the Drupal 8 version of the Prepopulate module, although technically you can pre-fill the field values any other way you choose and this module can still work with them.

You can choose the form IDs (by string or regex pattern), and the fields within those forms to check. Each configured field will be checked for a value and hidden from the form if a value exists.

It works great with Prepopulate--put a configured field's value in the URL, and the field is magically hidden from display, but its value still exists in the form.
