About

The OwnTracks smartphone app collects location data from your smartphone and allows you to send this data to an HTTP or MQTT backend server. This module provides an HTTP backend. It uses the Leaflet JavaScript library along with a configurable tile provider such as OpenStreetMap to display the location data.

Current features

  • Locations and Track Maps - visualized with Leaflet and Open Street Map
  • Waypoints - geolocations with a radius and a description
  • Transitions - enter/leave events when a waypoint is entered or left

Locations, Waypoints and Transitions are fieldable content entities and can be used in Views and extended with custom fields.

Planned features

  • Friends - Share waypoints and see your friends' locations
  • Live Maps - Track a friend/device on a map and get instant location updates
