This module allows users to login / register on a Drupal website using their Google login credentials via the Google Identity Toolkit API available on http://code.google.com/apis/identitytoolkit

Drupal 6 Installation

  1. Copy the gconnect directory to your sites/SITENAME/modules directory
    or sites/all/modules directory.
  2. Enable the module at Administer > Site building > Modules.
  3. Visit Administer > Site Configuration > Google Connect Settings to configure the Google Developer Key.
  4. Make sure you enabled Google Identity Toolkit API in the Services tab of code.google.com API console.
  5. Install the jQuery update module.
  6. Download jquery-1.4.2.js and jquery-1.4.2.min.js, place them inside replace folder of jquery_update module.
  7. Update the jquery version to 1.4.2 using the patch available here. http://drupal.org/node/775924#comment-2987316
  8. ... and you're good to go! Visit user/login or user/register page to see Google Connect buttons.

Drupal 7 Installation

  1. Copy the gconnect directory to your sites/SITENAME/modules directory
    or sites/all/modules directory.
  2. Enable the module at Administer > Site building > Modules.
  3. Visit Administer > Site Configuration > Google Connect Settings to configure the Google Developer API Key.
  4. You can get the API key from code.google.com site API console. Please see below image for the API key example.
  5. Make sure you enabled Google Identity Toolkit API in the Services tab of code.google.com API console.
