Simplereference

Provides a simple field type that can reference user, node and taxonomy bundles provided by core. It is a simple approach because currently is too complex configure this kind of relations using relation module besides of there is not a good interface (see relation_select module) to select bundles coming from many entities types. You could think in the module entityreference as another option but currently can not reference bundles coming from different entities types. It has a plugin for Migrate module.
Currently only have a autocomplete widget to select terms.

Dev version include support for References Dialog module. However, if you want to customize the query (for example, filter taxonomies by vid) you have to edit simplereference.views.inc file. Furthemore, you need to apply this patch to References Dialog module.
