Faceted api field adds a cck field for storing facetapi search parameters.
An example usecase is to define SEO optimized category landing pages that list a specific set of results and can be enhanced with all the features a node page can offer.
Additionally, the field can be configured to redirect matching searches to the corresponding node. In this way facet navigation can seamlessly navigate to enhanced search pages.
This is still a work in progress. Currently it is a little hardcoded for apachesolr.
