Parallax formatter

Image field formatter
This module provides a formatter for every image fields (any type of entity).
This formatter renders the image itself as background parallax (scrolling) instead of the actual image field.
It is also possible to embed another field from the parent entity (node, user, etc) on top of the parallax.

Use case: Parallax content type (like an article) with an image field and a simple text.

Put parallax background on any element in the DOM
Configure a selector (for example '#header') and assign an image to it.
This renders as a parallax background on the element.

Use case: Upload an image to drupal, get the file url and assign it to the #subfooter element.

This module makes use of the stellar.js library.

install

1. Just install and enable the module
2. Apply the formatter to any image field
3. Go to admin/parallax/elements and parallax-ify an element
