This module integrations CiviCRM Certify with Quiz. Additional fields are added to the Certification Entity to configure which quiz a user registered for a class should take and when they can take it (X hours before/after a class starts/ends). The module includes a block that will only display for users who are currently authorized to take a quiz based based on CiviCRM Event registration and the current time.

Once the Quiz is taken, the normal CiviCRM Certification process is altered to require a passing status on the quiz. If a quiz is all multiple choice or true/false type questions that can be automatically graded, this happens automatically and the user will be granted the certification (and or placed in any groups (and thus Drupal roles) based on the certification configuration.

If the quiz requires a staff member to review and grade short answers, edited images, short videos, no immediate change is made to the certifications or roles for the user when they submit the quiz. Changes only happen after the quiz is graded by a staff member.

The original workflow for this module was defined by channelAustin. After a user registers for their TV101 course, they are given access to the quiz for 24 hours. As soon as the user passes the quiz, they given the TV101 certification which places them in the TV101 group in CiviCRM. Using the CiviCRM Member Plus module, users that have paid for their membership AND are in the TV101 group are added to a Drupal role that grants them all of the permissions a producer has to propose projects, submit shows, and make reservations at channelAustin. The specific equipment the user can reserve is based on additional certifications that may or may not require a quiz.

This module is co-maintained by Stefan Wray (stefanwray) of channelAustin in Austin, TX as part of the CMDrupal project. It is designed to be used with other modules included in the Community Media Start Kit (Difficult). Consider joining the growing community who have made a commitment to contribute.
