This module addresses a limitation in the common configuration that uses the CiviCRM Membership Role Synchronization module to limit which users can create new Reservations. While using CiviCRM Membership Role Synchronization and CiviCRM Group Role Synchronization work well to remove the ability to create Reservations, it does nothing to prevent users from making several reservations in the future after their membership expires. In most workflows were staff update the Reservation node after it is created, the user could continue to pick up and return equipment or use a studio without an active membership.
This module prevents that by adding an additional an additional validation check requiring the user have at least one active membership at the time the reservation is configured to end. A normal producer level user will see an error when trying to create the Reservation that prevents it. Staff users with specific permission see a warning when updating the user's Reservation, but they can still save the node.
