shapefile import

This module is mostly inspired by GDAL module. (https://www.drupal.org/project/gdal)

Like GDAL module this module depends on the PHP GDAL extension.
In order to build and install the extension you can follow the documentation

The idea is to
1 - parse a shapefile (most of the code taken from the GDAL module)
2 - automatically create entities with geographical data using the eck module and field api
3 - create a layer inside the Geoserver module layers list.

Unlike the GDAL module, that is realted to the Feeds module and where the Feed importer must be configured manually for each shapefile you upload
(in particular the Feed Processor require to have a previously created entity or node to associate the shapefile fields using the Mapping section),
this module want to automate the procedure of upload and store geographical data inside PostGIS fields mantainig the database structure used in Drupal.
This module automatically create entities using the eck module.
After the creation of the entities a new layer is created inside the Geoserver layers list.
The geometries can be edited using the openlayers and openlayers editor modules.
