Taxonomy menu Extras

Taxonomy menu is a great module, allowing you to quickly match a taxonomy vocabulary to a menu, maintaining its structure and order.

Normally it works just great out of the box, but sometimes a little tweak to the created menu is necessary, and you would expect that not to be lost if the menu is rebuilt for whatever reason. Thinks like a specific menu hidden or a special tweak to the title.

This module attempts to sort that out by keeping those changes stored on a separate database and reapplying them when necessary.

For now this module:

• Keep changes to both the Enable checkbox and Link title of any menu item created by taxonomy_menu.
• Keep parent relationship of any custom menu item added whose parent is a menu item created by taxonomy_menu.

• Taxonomy menu, Duh!
• Taxonomy_menu simple patch (hopefully it will be accepted): #2654262: Improvements to allow modules to override more elements of the taxonomy_menu_item

I will also present this module to taxonomy_menu maintainers, maybe it can be added to the mainstream module.
