MailChimp Rules

A minimalistic MailChimp integration for rules.

This is a standalone module which adds the ability to subscribe and unsubscribe mails and users via rules. This module does not depend on the mailchimp module, its a standalone module which only requires the thinkshout/mailchimp-api-php library.

Comparison to other MailChimp modules:

• mailchimp module provides a much more sophisticated integration, which allows to show forms, manage lists and other stuff.

Dependencies

This module depends on the thinkshout/mailchimp-api-php library.

You can install this library either via Composer, Composer Manager (not tested), or the libraries module.

If you use the the libraries module you'll need to download the library to the libraries/mailchimp folder. After that you'll have to install its dependencies inside that directory.

Usage

After a succesfull install set your mailchimp API key via the variable mailchimp_api_key. You can either define it in your settings.php or using drush:
drush vset mailchimp_rules_api_key your_key

Before configuring any rules, you should create all necessary lists in mailchimp. The rules action will then allow you to select one of the existings lists to subscribe a user to it.
