Using this module, you can create any number of blocks which will render a configurable view mode of an entity reference facets value. When someone selects a value from one of the configured facets, the block will render that selected value's related entity in any view mode you choose.
A common use case is to have a "Category" facet, driven by a "Categories" taxonomy vocabulary. You can then create a Facets Active Entity Block for that facet, and the block will render the selected taxonomy term. It's a great way to show a description of what you're seeing in the faceted results!
Similar to the "Search API Context" module for Drupal 7 in some ways, but greatly simplified and rethought for Drupal 8 and Facets.
