The Analysis Map module improves GIS functionality within a Google Map. Map accepts GeoJSON as it's default GIS data source. Users can edit the map with using longitude and latitude based tools that meet GIS data standards. Users can also upload an image to overlay the map and then use image tools to format the image.
- Copy and Paste GeoJSON into a form
- Draw features(marker, linestring and polygon) that are stored as GeoJSON.
- Upload an image to overlay a map.
- Edit the image's transparency, width, height, and rotation
- Latitude/Longitude Input Form to Center Map
- Download, Export or Save GeoJSON created on the map to be used on other map systems.
- Add notes to a map.
The Analysis Map was created to give an aerial surveyor the ability to document incursions over a specific, proprietorial, geographical region. Photographs taken of the region from an aerial view would then overlay the map created to allow a surveyor to specifically identify the incursion in question. A reviewer would then be able to view the incursion map, go to the latitude/longitude coordinates in question, add notes to the map and update map status.
