UIkit Components

The UIkit components module provides additional components and functionality to the UIkit base theme.

Some aspects of the frontend cannot be themed without going through the backend, such as empty navbar links and Views style plugins. With this module you can add more functionality to the UIkit frontend through the Drupal backend without the need for contributed modules which may add more functionality than needed.

Configurable entities

The latest 8.x beta releases provide configurable options on the following entity types:

• Menu: Per-menu UIkit styling using the List, Nav and Subnav components and various modifiers.

We will continue providing new configurable options for other entities in the future, such as nodes and blocks.

Views plugins

UIkit Components ships with the UIkit Views module, which provides Views plugins. Currently provided plugins:

Styles

Style plugins control how a view is displayed. For the most part they are object wrappers around theme templates. Style plugins provided by UIkit Views:

• Accordion
• Grid
• List
• Table

Each plugin includes options to further modify the style of each component using their respective UIkit component modifiers. Not all modifiers are available, but may be added in the future. We plan on providing even more UIkit components as Views style plugins as well.

Release versioning

Major release versions identify which version of the UIkit framework is supported in the releases below.

• 7.x-2.x and 8.x-2.x: These releases support version 2.xx.x of the UIkit framework.
• 7.x-3.x and 8.x-3.x: These releases support version 3.x.x-Beta.xx
  of the UIkit Framework. These releases will not leave the beta stage until the UIkit framework is out of beta.
