This module enables developers to provide their own plugins for IMAP, POP3 and NNTP servers.
It should be used as a wrapper over existing IMAP libraries.
Steps to get a working IMAP connection:
1. Download a PHP library that wraps the imap PHP functions.
2. Create a plugin of type @ImapAuth and implement the authenticate method to use the library's connection.
3. Go to Structures -> Email server config and create a configuration with the target server's info (hostname & port) and select the plugin that you have created earlier.
4. Load the config entity and pass it to the imap.authenticator service to perform the authentication.
