File Framework 2 is a copy of File Framework Module from
OpenBand, an M.C. Dean, Inc. company.

It seems that the support for FFw is closed.
we have no responce from the maintainers for several months.
We just want to keep this amazing modul alive and bring it to a stable version

Roadmap:

This modules should be regarded a streamlined solution for batch-uploading of images (and other files) for Drupal 7 in modern (HTML5 compliant) browser, nothing more.
Most probably it won't get ported to neither to 6.x, nor 8.x as there are alternatives already.

Create a zip file out of uploaded files in a filefield. Requires filefield module.

This module will allow Drupal to replace textarea fields with the UEditor - a visual HTML editor, sometimes called WYSIWYG editor. This HTML text editor brings many of the powerful WYSIWYG editing functions of known desktop editors like Word to the web. It's very fast and doesn't require any kind of installation on the client computer.

Allows user with the proper permission to list the files, CSS and/or JavaScript, that they do not want showing on the site.
This module came out of my jQuery Mobile module and will be a dependency in the final version.

This module allows you to "lock" files so they cannot be deleted.

File Lock can be used to control two different problems:

1. Preventing deliberate deletion of files
2. Preventing accidental deletion of files caused by the behaviour of Drupal's core file field

File Lock is particularly useful when used with a media library setup, for example using the Media module.

IMCE for FileField allows users to select files from IMCE File Browser. It supports FTP uploaded files by automatically registering them as IMCE files thus making them usable in a FileField.

How to use

1. Go to your FileField settings page.
2. Check the box saying Allow users to select files from IMCE File Browser for this field

Note that, only the roles with an IMCE configuration profile can use this feature.

Drupal 8: The functionality is in IMCE 8.x

Situation:

You have few GBs of data already uploaded on the server and now you want to use filedepot to manage those files. Since you did not use filedepot desktop client to upload files, those files will not be available with filedepot, even though they are on server.

Solution:

Provides a universal preprocessor handler for all media on a Drupal site.
