File Management

Deduplicate module saves disk space on a server by deduplicating files upon saved to Drupal.

Deduplicate module is useful when you have a multisite setup where sites have a lot of common content. For example you may have the same images on production and staging sites. Deduplicate module removes duplicate versions of the same file to save disk space. Deduplication is done by comparing file content SHA-1 checksum and creating file system hard links.

Beta quality. Files might be lost forever if you don't have backups.

OSS File System provides an additional file system to your drupal site, alongside the public and private file systems, which stores files in Aliyun Object Storage Service (OSS).

This module defines Organic Group permissions for File entities.

For each file bundle, the following OG permissions are available:

• View file
• Edit file
• Delete file

Description:

This module provides the functionality of moving files related to a content type from one directory to another directory with the possibility of adding 301 redirects from old destination to the new one. The module will keep the mapping of files with the node in-tact.

Why I came up with the idea of this module?

This module extends the filedepot module with multiple upload support. Files can be uploaded with the plupload module which supports drag and drop.
