This module provide a sample, how to convert nodes contains images inserted via image assists 6.x to 7.x media file entity. This is developed for media module 2.x branch.

the language they are in?
The Media Translation module allows you to specify a language for the files you upload
through the Media module, then it allows you to bundle files together in translation sets. By itself, this module is an API module to be used by other modules and does not alter the output of media files.

This module optimizes loading of multiple filefield data in Views. For every filefield/imagefield value displayed in a view, it will remove 1 redundant query generated by the FileField module to load file data.
It's probably mostly useful for image galleries and file directories, because they often display many files.
