The taxonomy_fields module brings two important modules together: CCK and taxonomy. As CCK can assign fields to content types, taxonomy_fields can assign CCK fields to categories. By doing this, content types are not limited to the same range of fields anymore.
Nodes of the same content type can now contain absolutely different fields. Simply assign a field to a term and every node in this category will now contain this field. When choosing a new term for a node, the field-form will appear next time on the edit-page.

This module provides "suggested terms" for free-tagging Taxonomy fields based on terms already submitted. It replaces the description field on free-tagging fields with a clickable list of previously entered terms. If javascript is not enabled the list will still appear but not be clickable. It provides the best of both worlds between a pre-existing list of terms and the ability to add new terms on the fly as needed.

Community-managed taxonomy (CMT) opens categorization of content to the site's community. Users can influence both what terms nodes are tagged with and how these terms are themselves organized.

It can also be used to make structured tags on the fly. Users do not need to be logged in to make or propose terms for content.

It requires the votingapi module, which opens up a world of fun.

This Drupal module attempts to provide context for content items by displaying a view block with links to other similar content. Similarity is based on the taxonomy terms assigned to content. Views are available based on similarity within each of the defined vocabularies for a site as well as similarity within all vocabularies.

What does this really mean? How should you use this module?
