Third-party Integration

Foreigner allows Drupal to maintain references to content items and users that are managed externally, and to treat these references like regular Drupal nodes/users.

The module supports a simple URI approach for identifying foreign items and users. Using a single delimiter that you configure, you may use identifiers of an arbitrary number of components to identify your items and users, in a hierarchical fashion. For instance, you might identify a content item as:

myworld:myapp:items:123

and a user as:

Google Custom Search Engine (CSE) is a free service that can be used to search a set of one or more sites.

After installing this module, simply configure the Drupal module to use CSE by entering Google's unique ID for a CSE. Once you have granted permission for one or more roles to search using Google CSE, users can search the current Google CSE index from search/google or a search block.

This module I feel has been superceeded by the great work on the quickbooks module ( http://drupal.org/project/qb ). I recommend using that module instead as it is in active development.

I am sorry for the poor quality of the screen cast. I've never done one, and I used "wink" to do it. I'll probabley update the "how to" later down the road.

This module is still very pre-alpha, and the screen-cast is not the best. But I did it quickly. I've been getting a few inquiries, and I figured this would be the easiest way to explain it. I'll be releasing it to the cvs by the end of this week so hopefully I can some collaboration on it.

Read the contents of a post (aka node) and attaches appropriate taxonomy tags. It uses the Yahoo Term Extractor service to find these tags.

The Alternative PHP Cache (APC) is a free and open opcode cache for PHP. Its goal is to provide a free, open, and robust framework for caching and optimizing PHP intermediate code. Besides a opcode cache it provides a user cache for storing application data. This module uses the APC user cache as a cache backend for Drupal.

This project provides 'yahoo groups' type functionality within Drupal for mailing lists handled by an external mailing list engine.

That is, a mailing list engine (currently only sympa is supported) provides the email part of the functionality, with organic groups on drupal providing the web interface. It is similar to the og2list project in it's goal, but takes a different approach - instead of providing a mailing list engine that extends organic groups, it assumes all mail will be handled by the mailing list manager, and Drupal is the 'client' in a 'client-server' type relationship. The bulk of the complexity of the module comes from keeping messages and list configuration values in sync.

This module adds specific functionality, useful to phpBB forum users, to a specific node type.

CRM API will allow Drupal to work with multiple CRMs.

This suite of modules supports integration with Salesforce by synchronizing Drupal entities (E.g., users, nodes, files) with Salesforce objects (E.g., contacts, organizations, opportunities). It supports pushing Drupal data to Salesforce as well as pulling, or importing, Salesforce data into Drupal. Changes can be made in real time or asynchronously in batches during cron run.
