Simple Calendar is a lightweight calendar module with no dependencies on any other modules, not even jQuery!

The module gives you a new node type - an Event - and a new block, Simple Calendar. Any new events are shown on the scrollable calendar, which can show a user-configurable amount of months.

The long-serving Calendar module is an excellent alternative if you already use Views extensively and don't mind installing the Date API package.
