By default, a Drupal site allows undefined arguments on any system path instead of returning 404 Not Found (e.g. http://drupal.org/node/1/asdlfkjadlfkdjaflakjsldkfa). The Strict 404 module overrides this behavior and enforces 404 responses for paths that are not actually defined in the menu system.

String Filter provides an input filter to replace defined strings with a STRING, VARIABLE, or FUNCTION. Admins can define any number of replacement combinations when configuring a text format.

The format is:

source string|REPLACEMENT_TYPE|replacement value

This module works together with the "Services " module and xml-rpc to allow you to specify the user id of new users created with user.register , instead of having drupal define the next id available as it does by default.
