This is a contribution from existing usability improvements that I've used for fields. The key concept is to cater for fields with long lists of options such as:

• select (multiple) lists with 20+ options
• input checkbox lists with 20+ options

The solution is purely a JS/jQuery solution for hiding and showing relevant information from a filter input.

The user enters a few letters and the options the user is seeking become easier to see from the potential thousands.

Drupal 8

This module works out of the box for all kind of content entities - no configuration is needed.

Conflicts which will be auto merged:
-changes in translatable fields in non-edited content entity translations
-changes in fields to which the user does not have access
--fields with no edit access
--fields not part of the entity form display
-changes in entity metadata
--revision ID
--changed timestamp

This module provides a Views display handler called "Homebox".

It is similar to block, except additional processing is done to place exposed filters into the Homebox per-block config area and store their values with the Homebox.

If you've used the Drupal.org dashboard you may be familiar with the similarly-looking exposed filters where you can set a Homebox to follow a specific project - but they are hard coded in a custom block definition.

If you are upgrading from any 3.x version before alpha6, I recommend reading the alpha6 release notes! Major changes occurred in that release.
