This module attempts to simplify admin/structure/menu for sites that have a lot of custom menus. It creates "menu groups" based on the menu machine name. Whatever comes before the first "-" of the machine name (or technically between "menu-" and the next "-") is the group. Simple enough, right?
For example. If I created menus with the following machine names (or as the UI says, "URL Alias"):
- dogs-breads
- dogs-trainers
- cats-food
- cats-toys
They'd be displayed within the menu administration UI grouped appropriately. This is really useful, especially because the menu machine name isn't visible through the standard UI - all your left with is the menu name. On certain sites, with 40+ menus, this becomes absolutely unmaintainable.
I really don't think you'd get much value from this module unless your site has greater than ~10 custom menus.
