Site Messages is a simple module that creates a site messages block that displays timed messages of several types (News, Warning, Error). It is a simple way to notify users of an upcoming/ongoing event, or an outage of a given service.
This module was originally created for the Millersville University Library.
Note: At this point, the messages are displayed in a manner similar to that of the standard Drupal messages. It has not been tested with many other themes at this point. Hopefully in a future release new theme components will be added with different options for the message displays.
