Implement display suite support for the publication_date module (http://drupal.org/project/publication_date).
If you are using scheduler and want to show the publication date rather than the created date this module enables display suite support for this field. If there is not publication date set (published_at), then it defaults to the created date.
Ultimately this should probably go into display suite extras.
