Don't you hate it to manually check every drupal site you maintain for updates. Of course there are these update notification mails, but they only tell you, that you should check for updates on a single site. Wouldn't it be great to have a control center where you can check & download the updates for all of your sites at once.
This module provides an API for external services to check for updates for any of your installed modules or themes. Also you will be able to apply developer notes to every single project, to make sure this fancy patch you have to apply to module x won't be forgotten.
We are currently developing Mac & Windows Applications that will act as a version control center for all our drupal sites. These applications will require this module to be installed on your sites.
