Synopsis
Drupal 8 and SMF(Simple Machines Forum - http://www.simplemachines.org/) integration
Module provides Registration and Authentication for SMF users via Drupal, so visitors don't need to enter login and password twice.
Module uses API provided by SMF to replace authentication/registration/password recovery actions of SMF.
Installation
- Install as you would normally install a contributed Drupal module. See: https://www.drupal.org/documentation/install/modules-themes/modules-8 for further information.
- Install SMF into the /forum folder of your document root. Only SMF 2.* is supported. To avoid troubles with encoding, use UTF-8
Configuration
- Login as administrator and set SMF connection settings on /admin/config/smfbridge
- Save settings, if everything is OK you should see "Integration with SMF is established successfully"
Restrictions
Module doesn't synchronize existing SMF users to Drupal database.
When user login to Drupal, new user is created in SMF(if doesn't exists). Visitors can't register/login to SMF directly.
