CDS Integration

This module (and its submodules) facilitate the integration of a catalog system from Catalog Data Solutions (CDS) with a Drupal 7 website, such that the catalog can be served and cached entirely within Drupal.

This project was in no way sponsored or supported by Catalog Data Solutions, and was developed by Top Floor Technologies independently.

Features include:

• Configure CDS library's settings from within the Drupal UI
• Create reference fields to reference CDS categories or products (the fields can be displayed as IDs, links, or even fully-rendered content from CDS)
• Create "Product Section" nodes which show a parent category and handles the rendering and caching of all category pages underneath that parent category
• Show other CDS pages at any path you'd like, such as the shopping cart and compare pages
• Define any entity type as a CDS Override entity in order to override specific fields coming from CDS with data from Drupal at a very granular level.
• Adds catalog search functionality and a block that can be added to the normal search results page to toggle between the two
• Allows you to show CDS's sidebar content as an actual Drupal block in any region you choose
• Much more (documentation not yet available)

This module requires Composer, as much of the functionality has been abstracted to a CMS-agnostic PHP library. The simplest way to use it is to use the Composer Manager module, which will combine this module's composer.json file with any other composer.json files from other modules and manage all of those dependencies automatically.
