When you use field collenction entity reference(taxonomy term), it can not index terms.
my module help you index taxonomy terms.
this is a field collection taxonomy term fields. and you must copy machine name. Which names is field_artists_name and field_role_name. and than go to path "admin/config/ti/ti".Viewing first image
and paste here in textarea. using "," like tags.Viewing second image

Use Field Collection 8.x-2.x-dev and Inline Entity Form 8.x-1.0-alpha6 and than in field collection src/FieldCollectionItemAccessControlHandler.php add this function beacause show you "Add new field collection item" Button. and than everything work well.
